In 2023, we turned the spotlight outward to spread love, support, and gratitude for GIVING TUESDAY. Black Theatre United was beyond thrilled to declare 2023’s Giving Tuesday as GRATITUDE TUESDAY and kicked off a special initiative. We raised funds to make a positive impact, and we were equally excited to share the love with two extraordinary organizations:
Harriet Tubman Effect (HTE):
A beacon of justice advocacy research and a human resource center, instilling courage and running toward freedom.
Black Trans Femmes in the Arts (BTFA Collective):
Focused on creating spaces for the production and preservation of Black trans art and culture, building a community, and providing crucial resources for thriving.
